Porter returns 100 grams gold to woman in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Thanks to a licensed porter Mohammed Eizaz with badge number 186 on Sunday a passenger Sangeetha who had her jewellery box missing at the time of alight a train at platform 10 of KSR Bengaluru Station got back her box intact. The missing box of Sangeetha had 100 grams of gold worth Rs Rs 4.8 lakh.

Sangeetha got down from Talaguppa-Mysuru Express train at platform 10 at KSR Station in Bengaluru on Sunday morning and the Sangeetha family members were to board a train to Bangaarapet in Kolar from platform 6 before she realised that the box had fallen out from her bag at platform 10 and she immediately brought the matter to the notice of City Railway Police.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Eizaz came across the box and handed it over to Sridhar, on-duty Deputy Station Manager (commercial). Sangeetha was informed and after completion of legal formalities, the box was returned to her. Sangeetha found the items intact and thanked the Railways staff and porter.

Kusuma Hariprasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (administration) appreciated Mohammed Eizaz and said to reward him suitably.
