Another cyclonic storm brewing in Bay of Bengal

Parts of Visakhapatnam and other areas in north Andhra received rain on Sunday evening

Visakhapatnam: A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge in the south Andaman Sea around December 13. An IMD Amaravati report on Sunday said its intensity and trajectory was being observed.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area (remnant of the cyclonic storm Mandous) over north interior Tamil Nadu and adjoining south interior Karnataka and north Kerala has become less marked. The associated cyclonic circulation persisted over the same region and extended up to 5.8km above mean sea levels.

It is likely to emerge into the southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea off the north Kerala­ Karnataka coast. Parts of Visakhapatnam and other areas in north Andhra received rain on Sunday evening.
