Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will preside over a meeting, to be attended by top officials of the Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) and the Delhi Metro Rail Ltd (DMRC), to review progress of the Kochi Metro project on Sunday. “The meeting will review the progress of the project and also concerns being raised from various quarters with respect to the first phase of Kochi Metro from Aluva to Petta. It will also discuss proposed projects like extension of Kochi Metro to Infopark via Kakkanad and the Metro City there. The city improvement projects being undertaken by the KMRL will also come up for discussion,” a KMRL official said. After the meeting, the KMRL will sign an MoU with Kudumbashree for management of its station. “Station management activities include ticketing, customer relations, House-keeping, parking management and running the canteens of KMRL,” the official said.
