Bengaluru's SS Hospital gets notice
Bengaluru: The district administration has served notices to MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa's SS Hospital and 40 others, including Ideal Homes, to clear the encroachments voluntarily within one week over government land at Haddu Gida Halla at Raja Rajeshwari Nagar.
SS Hospital and 40 others had approached the High Court against the BBMP’s move to demolish their properties and the court had stayed the eviction for four weeks.
In the back drop of completion of four-week stay over the eviction, district administration has served notices and have given time till Dec 16 for the concerned to convince the authorities on the legality of their structures.
If they fail to do so the authorities will be at the liberty to demolish and remove the encroachments and the entire cost of razing the properties will be slapped on the property owners.
BBMP had earlier chalked out a plan to complete the anti-encroachment drive to clear storm water drains across the city by February, in order to ensure that there is no flooding during the next monsoon.
The BBMP currently has 14 surveyors and 15 more will be deputed to the complete survey on storm water drains and prepare a report on the encroachments.
