Goddess Durga appears in Tripura Sundari Alankaram on fourth day
VIJAYAWADA: Goddess Durga appeared in Lalitha Tripura Sundari Alankaram (attire) on the fourth day of Dasara Devi Navaratrulu on the hilltop Indrakeeladri Durga temple in Vijayawada on Sunday.
Home minister Mekathoti Sucharita visited the temple and performed special pujas. She said she prayed for prosperity and development and for an early end to the Covid19 pandemic for the wellbeing of the people.
The queue lines were flooded with devotees on the fourth day of the Navaratri festival.
The priests said Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi is the Echa, Chaitanya Gnyana Sakthi Swaroopini. She is the Goddess of Bliss. She appears enthroned with her left foot upon the Sri Chakra, holding her traditional symbols like sugarcane, flower, noose (paasam), goad (ankusam), and right side with Goddess Lakshmi Devi and left side with goddess Saraswathi Devi.
Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Justice Arup Kumar Goswami along with his family visited the Goddess Kanaka Durga temple on the fourth day of the Dasara Navaratri celebrations atop Indrakeeladri on Sunday.
Justice Goswami was welcomed with temple protocol by temple executive officer Bramarambha. The CJ offered prayers and the temple priests extended the blessings of the goddess to the couple. The EO offered a goddess portrait to Justice Goswami and his wife.
Home minister Mekathoti Sucharitha visited the temple on Sunday and sought the blessings of the goddess. She said that the Dasara Navaratri festival is being celebrated on a grand scale across the state and expressed her happiness to offer prayers to the presiding deity appearing as Sri Lalitha Thripura Sundari Devi.
She said chief minister Jagan was encouraging women in all fields and the goddess may shower Her blessings on the CM and the government.
The minister said that during the past two and a half years, there has been adequate rainfall in the state. She hoped that the Covid pandemic would come to an end soon, and in the coming two and half years will see the state prosper by the grace of the goddess.
The home minister said the festivities are going on peacefully with the cooperation of thousands of police personnel, sanitation workers and temple staff.
