Kerala to amend laws for business: Industries minister A C Moideen
Thrissur: Industries minister A. C. Moideen, speaking at a function of ‘Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi’ here on Sunday said that Kerala would amend laws to bring ease of doing business. The government was planning to start ‘Industries Mission’ to promote investments, he added. “If people start trusting those who are raising money for investment, there will be no difficulty for the state to get investments,” he said. He said the state was planning to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the tourism sector.
“Tourists are coming to Kerala not to booze, but we need to make arrangements for those who want to drink and amendments in the liquor policy were made keeping such needs in mind. Liquor is not an essential component of tourism, but it is a part of the tourism industry,” he said. Samiti president T. Naseeruddin inaugurated its corporate office at the function where a book on GST was also unveiled.
