Meanwhile, BJP national executive member Vivek Venkataswamy accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of wasting public money running into some lakhs of crores on mega projects. Because of his thoughtless action, Telangana, whose revenues had been in surplus, has been driven into debts.

The BJP leader alleged that the state has paid ₹30,000 crore in interest in four years for constructing the Kaleshwaram project. He demanded that the state government disclose how much money it has lent in the name of Kaleshwaram Corporation.

Venkataswamy regretted that when Kannepally and Annaram pump houses got totally submerged in flood waters, CM KCR did not hold even a single review during the month.
