Mysuru IAS officer Shikha shunted, a fair deal?
Bengaluru: It is a phyrric victory of sorts for Mysuru Deputy Commissioner, C.Shikha. The woman IAS officer has been moved out of Mysuru. This has happened only after Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah’s right hand man, K. Marigowda who had abused her in broad day light, lost a court battle and surrendered before the police.
However, a section of IAS officers felt that it was a punishment as she was shunted out midway through the Dasara celebration process. The government was waiting for an opportunity to transfer her after the spat wiht Marigowda.
Now that the CM’s man is in custody, there won’t be a public outcry that she was targeted and transferred. Ms Shikha has been appointed Commissioner, Social Welfare Department. Her husband and another IAS officer, Dr M.N. Ajay Nagabhushan has been appointed Commissioner, food and civil supplies department.
