Protect Ancestral Land: Karimnagar Woman at Grievance Meet
KARIMNAGAR: A woman, Bommadi Shirisha, a resident of Jangapalli village in Ganneruvaram mandal urged the officials of the revenue department to protect her ancestral land during the grievance day programme at the collectorate in Karimnagar on Monday.
She claimed that her elder uncle (father's brother), Saindla Anjaiah, and others are attempting to infringe not only on their family land of 20 guntas under survey numbers 1297A and 1296A, but also on the catchment region of Mala Kunta lake.
Her father, uncle, and six aunts jointly own the 20 guntas of agricultural land near the catchment area of Mala Kunta lake. However, her uncle Anjaiah is attempting to acquire not only government land but also ancestral property by removing the catchment region of Mala Kunta lake. He reached an agreement with other parties to sell the valuable land that belonged to all of their family members, as well as the government land around Mala Kunta lake, she noted.
Shirisha requested that the concerned authorities take immediate action to protect the government land and do justice to them by preventing her uncle from encroaching on their ancestral land without first registering the agricultural land.
