Kerala: Plus two pass rate falls by 3 per cent at 80.94
Thiruvananthapuram: A total of 80.94 percent students passed the higher secondary examinations this year compared to 83. 96 percent last year, as per the results announced by chief secretary S.M. Vijayanand here on Tuesday.
He also declared the VHSE results and the pass percentage for part I and II is 87.72 and for part I, II and III, 79.3.
Those who passed part I and II would get trade certificates and those who passed all the three parts are eligible for higher studies. Of the 3, 61,683 regular students who appeared for the higher secondary examination, 2, 92,753 became eligible for higher studies (EHS).
Of them, 9,870 got A-plus in all subjects and 125 secured 1,200 out of 1,200 marks. Kannur district with a pass percentage of 84.86 topped the list while Pathanamthitta has the lowest percentage of 72.4. Kollam district came first with 1,111 candidates scoring A-plus grade in all subjects.
Among the schools, St. Mary’s HSS Pattom presented the highest number of candidates (826) and had a pass percentage of 93.22 followed by SVHSS Palemaed with 725 candidates and 83.03 percent, and MSM HSS Kallingalparamba, Malappuram with 659 candidates and 83 percent.
The online registration of application for the single window admission process for higher secondary schools will begin on May 17. The first phase of registration will be from May 17 to May 31 and the second phase from June 1 to June 8. The trial allotment will be on June 7 and the first allotment on June 13.
