Hyderabad: Waiter dies in scuffle over Rs 130 'debt'

The deceased has been identified as Raju, while the accused has been identified as Kamlesh, who works as a watchman at the same hotel.

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old waiter lost his life in a fight with his colleague working in a hotel at Hafiz Baba Nagar in Hyderabad on Monday over a 'debt' of Rs 130, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Raju while the accused has been identified as Kamlesh, who works as a watchman at the same hotel.

According to Kanchanbagh police station Inspector N Shankar, Kamlesh confronted Raju and demanded that the latter pay back Rs 130 which he 'owed to him'.

The argument between them turned ugly as they started hitting each other.
"During the scuffle, Kamlesh allegedly pushed Raju towards a wall, when he collapsed on the ground and died on the spot. The death is accidental.”

"A case has been registered under section 304 (II) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC against Kamlesh and he is being questioned," Shankar said while dismissing reports in a section of media that both fought over a Rs 130 tip.

Further investigation is on in the case.
