Hyderabad: People who gathered at the old airport road on Sunday morning wanted to take a selfie with the damaged, decommissioned plane. Many rushed to the spot from nearby places hearing that a flight crash landed on the road.
Police cordoned off the area to keep locals away. Residents of Ferozguda said that they heard a huge noise and rushed to see what happened. Many youngsters were at the spot with their mobile phone cameras to see the crane lifting up the plane minutes before it crashed to the ground.
“We heard a huge crashing noise while we were near the bus station and rushed to the area. From a distance, it looked as if a flight just crash-landed on the road. But, when we got close, we saw the crane and realised it was not that serious,” said N. Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Ferozguda.
A group of youngsters were already at the spot, when the crane started lifting the plane. A few of them also got the footage of the mishap on their phone.
