Chennai: The Tourism Authority of Thailand has proposed to conduct the Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF), from January 25 to 29, 2017 in Bangkok. The 37th edition of Thailand's largest domestic tourism fair would be held at Bangkok's Lumpini Park.

The festival, which coincides with Chinese New Year 2017, expected to attract over 6,50,000 tourists. A large number of tourists from India also expected to attend the festival. The TAT hoped to generate revenue of 400 million Baht, Thailand currency.

The activities highlight importance of 'Thainess' by artists from the five regions. Each of the zones will showcase the local culture and cuisine. The festival divided into ten zones — Gardens, Discover Thainess in Five Regions, Unique Culinary delights, TAT Zone, TAT Recommended routes, Outdoor Fest to introduce a new style of travelling, Main stage with performances, China Town, Geology Zone and Selfie zone.

Director, TAT, Mumbai, Ms Soraya Homchuen, said "We are delighted to announce the popular Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF). The festival will see Lumpini Park transformed into a mini representation of the kingdom with replicas of landmarks and instances of cultural events from all the regions along with musical performances and Thai cuisine."

Governor, TAT Mr Yuthasak Supasorn, said, "By visiting Lumpini Park, visitors can enjoy a taste of the foods, festivals and culture found in all five regions before they choose where to travel.
