YSRC to Ensure Welfare of Kapus: Minister
Kakinada: Civil supplies minister Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao said YSRC government fully supports Kapus and will ensure their development and welfare.
The minister spoke after inaugurating a Kapu community hall at Tetali village in Tanuku mandal and participating in the Karthika Vana Samaradhana programme arranged by Kapus on Sunday.
Nageswara Rao said leaders of the previous government had created hurdles when he tried to install statues of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga. He has now been able to instal the statues using his own funds. He had ensured that a road is also named after Ranga.
The minister pointed out that the Kapu Development Corporation is implementing several schemes for the welfare of Kapus.
Subsequently, Nageswara Rao also attended Vana Samaradhana programmes organised by the Viswa Brahmin Sangham and Settibalija Sangham.
