KCR's wife Shobha Rao offers prayers at Tirumala temple

TIRUPATI: Kalvakuntla Shobha Rao, wife of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Tuesday offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. She reached Tirupati via a special flight from Hyderabad, accompanied by family members. She was extended a warm welcome by Government Whip and Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and the TTD officials. After darshan, she was presented with the sacred theertha prasadams of Lord Venkateswara at Ranganayakula mandapam inside the Srivari temple.

She participated in the Archana Seva, the special poojas, and tonsured her head as part of the rituals at the hill shrine.

Shobha Rao's visit is amidst concerns about Chief Minister KCR's health, as his son and minister, K. T. Rama Rao, recently disclosed that he was suffering from viral fever and a secondary infection.

Later, Shobha Rao visited the Vayulingeswara Swamy temple in Srikalahasti. B. Pavitra Reddy, a YSR Congress leader and the daughter of Srikalahasti legislator Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy, along with temple officials, welcomed her. She then offered prayers to the presiding deities of Srikalahastheeswara and Ammavaru inside the temple.
