CM Pinarayi Vijayan wants e-service book in secretariat
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday directed officials to put in place an effective mechanism to ensure secretariat staff remained in their seats during duty hours. The chief minister’s direction came at a high level meeting during which the departments under six ministers were evaluated. The chief minister said the file movement in secretariat and other government departments would be accelerated and special department -wise adalts will be held to clear the backlog.
Mr Vijayan said the work on creating electronic service books for secretariat staff was progressing. The secretariat canteen will be modernised as part of the government’s stress on improving facilities for the staff. At the evaluation of chief minister’s department it was informed that the proposed Virology Institute will start operations from July 2018. The institute is coming up at Thonakkal.
A software will be developed to register information about all non- resident Keralites. World Kerala Sabha will be held on January 2018 in Thiruvananthapuram. All NRK associations have representation in the Sabha which is also a platform for resolving the issues of NRKS. NORKA-Roots training programme will begin this year. The projects of departments under 12 ministers will be taken up for evaluation today.
