Campaign on social media fake: State police chief Loknath Behera

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State police chief Loknath Behera has said that a campaign on social media that migrant workers are ill treated in Kerala is a fake one. Mr. Behera said in a statement that the social media message that a hotel owner in Kozhikode beat up a migrant worker and later put him to death was absolutely baseless. No such incident had occurred, he said. He also urged that the migrants and their relatives should not fall prey to such campaigns with malicious intentions. He also said that the state police was initiating various steps for safety of migrant workers.
