Tamil Nadu BJP hopeful of justice on Cauvery
Chennai: Reiterating that the Opposition parties were needlessly targeting the BJP and Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre on the Cauvery issue, BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said the Central government is moving in the right direction aimed at ensuring justice to TN. “The Central government is moving in the right direction in resolving the Cauvery issue and it will ensure justice to Tamil Nadu,” she said.
The senior leader who had called on the BJP national chief Amit Shah in New Delhi on Sunday said her party had conveyed the ground realities on the issue and even submitted a report to the party high command.
She claimed the Opposition parties in TN were diverting the issue, particularly about Karnataka’s adamant stand, by unnecessarily criticising Mr. Modi and BJP. She was accompanied by Union minister of state for road transport, highways and shipping, Pon Radhakrishnan, L. Ganesan MP, former state president C.P. Radhakrishnan and party’s national secretary H. Raja.
