Club 8' staff assault techie, pals in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A techie and his friends were brutally beaten up by the bouncers of Club 8 on Saturday night. The victims, who suffered serious injuries, filed a complaint at the Panjagutta police station alleging that the bouncers punched them on the face repeatedly without any provocation.
Two of the victims, Shail Jah, 28, a software engineer with Oracle, and his friend Md Shareef, 28, a student, suffered injuries on their faces. The other two, Achut Ajith and Mayank Jah suffered only minor injuries.
Police booked a case against eight bouncers and the club manager. Meanwhile, the Club 8 management filed a counter complaint alleging that the youths created trouble at the club. But the police has not booked any case.
The victims said the incident occurred at around 10.45 pm when a group asked the club to play one more song. “The bouncers then started clearing the premises. We told them that we have to collect our bags. They then started punching and kicking us,” said Shail Jah. With bleeding injuries the victims approached the police which took the victims and bouncers to the police station. Police let off the bouncers after a brief inquiry.
"Two of the victims, who were injured, were sent for medical treatment. As per facts, we will take action against the bouncers and manager," said inspector Mohan Kumar.
