Minister Kishan Reddy inspection of railway station

Minister G. Kishan Reddy inspected the work being undertaken to develop Cherlapalli railway station as a satellite terminal on Saturday. He reviewed the progress of coach maintenance facilities and other infrastructure works. He advised the officials to speed up the work so as to ensure the timely completion of the project.

Addressing the media, the minister said, “Charlapalli railway station will become the fourth major passenger terminal in the twin cities. The new terminal is being developed with modern facilities on par with airports.” He said the work would be completed by December 2023. The development of the satellite terminal will help enhance the transport facilities for rail passengers in the twin cities and is connected directly with the Outer Ring Road.

Kishan Reddy stated that the Secunderabad station was being redeveloped at a cost of Rs 600 crore.

The minister carried out the inspection with South Central Railways incharge general manager Arun Kumar Jain and spoke with workers and inquired about safety precautions.
