HYDERABAD: A 14-year-year-old Class X student, who was on his way to school on his two-wheeler, died on the spot after a speeding truck hit the vehicle in Allirajupet of Jagdevpur mandal in Siddipet district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Mittapally Akhil, from Jagdevpur in Siddipet. He was studying in St Vincent school.
According to police, Akhil used to go to school on the two-wheeler every day. When his vehicle reached Allirajupet locality, a speeding truck coming from Gajwel hit the bike killing Akhil on the spot.
A passerby noticed the mishap and informed the police, who rushed to the spot. Police found that the two-wheeler did not have proper documents.
Meanwhile, the truck driver abandoned his vehicle and fled from the spot.
Police have registered a case of negligent driving causing death and shifted the body to the nearby government hospital for post-mortem.
