Hyderabad: The SCR Mazdoor Union and other unions under the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen took out a massive rally on Thursday and served a strike notice to the SCR GM. The strike notice was served as part of the nation-wide strike announced by national rail unions from July 11.
The main demands of the union are minimum wage of Rs 26,000 and scrapping of the New Pension Scheme (NPS) and restoration of the old pension scheme for employees who joined on and after January 1, 2004.
Scrapping the notification dated August 22, 2014 allowing FDI in construction, operation and maintenance of Railways and all agreements entered into with foreign companies as well as Indian companies detrimental to the interests of the Railways.
