Hyderabad: In order to ease the traffic congestion in IT Corridors, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) has decided to complete the construction of the Level-2 flyover in Bio-Diversity junction in order to ease traffic by Dasara. The 990-metre flyover will ease the traffic from BioDiversity junction to Hitec City. However, the construction of the Level-2 flyover, which happens to be the bigger of the two, has been getting delayed because the traffic police want to avoid causing inconvenience to commuters by having to block the road for a whole year.
A senior GHMC official said that the corporation would throw open the flyover by Dasara. However, he explained that the project, which was meant to be completed by March 2019, could not be taken forward until the acquisition of two properties belonging to a certain highly influential individual and that they had not yet received consent for the same. He added that although the corporation had conducted a 2-hour meeting with the law and order and traffic police, they failed to arrive at a conclusion regarding the acquisition of said properties.
