Kannur: The Thalasserry Additional Sessions Court (one) has dismissed the plea of CPM leader P. Jayarajan to enter in Kannur district. Mr. Jayarajan had sought permission to undergo treatment of Dr S.M Ashraf at Pariyaram medical college hospital on May 17 and to attend the marriage of CPM leader Karayi Rajan’s daughter on the next day. The court had allowed Mr. Jayarajan to enter the district on May 16 to cast vote.
The court on Monday said that Jayarajan could avail the treatment on May 16th itself and visit the marriage house to offer wishes. The court added that Dr Ashraf was not available on May 17. Mr. Jayarajan was denied entry to the district as a condition for bail in the murder case of RSS leader Kathirur Manoj.
