Kochi firm props Swiss-based new networking platform

Envoy' helps create viable business model

KOCHI: A unique social-cum-professional networking platform 'Envoy' based out of Switzerland, has been launched so as to extract real value for users from the network of contacts while building a viable business model. Kochi Infopark-based MSI (Media Systems India Soft Solutions) has helped develop the site.

“Today, with so much of social network connectivity, our networks of contacts have grown into 100s or 1,000s. From these networks of contacts we are now inundated with information. Some of it is interesting; most is not. The overflow of information has been exhausting users of various networking platforms,” said Ralph Schonenbach, CEO of Envoy.

He said that Envoy is a complete ecosystem which is divided into five different segments-My World, Insights, Communities, Events and Vault. While My World Segment covers all communications and filters contents by topic, Insights analyses your Envoy connections and imported contacts, Communities deals with public or private members managed around themes, topics and networks and Events about organization and management of events. Vault covers connection and imported contact management.

“There is large number of networking platforms to help people get jobs and share pictures. Yet, there is no platform to help you develop and manage one’s network,” he said. Envoy became live on May 2. Ralph Schonenbach has held senior positions with the firms Andersen and Ernst & Young. He co-founded Trestle Group and Trestle Group Foundation.
