Thiruvananthapuram: The mother of social activist K.M. Shajahan on Sunday began a fast at home against the arrest of her son and four others when they reached the the police headquarters along with the family members of Jishnu Prannoy on Wednesday.
L. Thankamma, 79, who had earlier threatened to go on an indefinite hunger strike before Cliff House, the official residence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, on Monday, said she would continue her fast till her son got released. Ms Thankamma had earlier accused Mr Vijayan of taking revenge on her son for his attempt to implead in the Lavalin case.
