Malappuram: Amidst the public wrath against CPM led state government’s approach to the Police action against Jishnu Pronnoy’s mother Mahija, the party secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that they too wanted to patch up the issue with Mahija. He said that anybody can intervene the issue to find a resolution. “CPI state secretary had met Mahija. He discussed the matter with me as well. Everybody want to get the issue settled soon,” Balakrishnan said during an LDF election meeting at Perinthalmanna of Sunday.
He attended three election meetings on Sunday. “By the end of this by election both BJP and UDF would leave the issues of Jishnu’s family. Their protests are not genuine,” he said. In Manjeri, Muslim League workers allegedly created ruckus and tried to manhandle the Police while Kodiyeri was about to speak at a LDF campaign meeting in the evening.
