T. V. Babu will be representing his party as its president Tushar Vellappally is in Bengaluru.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP leaders could not meet Union home minister Rajnath Singh to discuss growing atrocities against women and children in the state, as he was preoccupied with Parliament session. State president Kummanam Rajasekharan and his predecessors P. K. Krishnadas and V. Muraleedharan and general secretary M. Ganesh are camping in the national capital expecting a call. They will be meeting finance minister Arun Jaitley and food minister Ram Vilas Paswan, along with NDA allies. They are also trying to meet external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. BDJS general secretary T. V. Babu will be representing his party as its president Tushar Vellappally is in Bengaluru.

BJP sources said he and his father, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan, are angry at ignoring their long-standing demands, especially sharing spoils and renaming the Central University of Kerala to Sree Narayana University. C. K. Janu (Janadhipathya Rashtriya Sabha) and P.C. Thomas (Kerala Congress) are part of the team. General secretary M. T. Ramesh, meanwhile, alleged that the Shiv Sena vigilantism in Kochi was a CPM ploy to divert attention from rapes and the killings.“Unfortunately, the media went gaga for two days as they wanted,” he told DC.
