Bengaluru: In another incident, a 27-year-old man died on spot after a lorry ran over him while taking a reverse in KR Puram traffic police station limits on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Shabeer, from Maharashtra and was working as a lorry driver. The police said that the incident took place at 9 pm while the accused driver, Saleem Ulakhan, was taking a reverse on Graphite India road near Asian paints godown.
He failed to notice someone was standing behind his lorry and ran over. The police said that Shabeer’s head was crushed by the back wheels and died on the spot.
K.R. Puram traffic police have registered a case and arrested the accused driver. The police have seized the vehicle and alerted the family members of the deceased.
