199 shortlisted as 18 firms take part in AWPO job fair

Hyderabad: In a display of support for veterans and their dependents, a recent job fair organised by the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) in collaboration with the Magic Bus India foundation witnessed active participation from several multinational corporations and private companies. The event was held on Wednesday, at Secunderabad Military Station under the auspices of Headquarters Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (HQ TASA) to celebrate Veterans Day.

A total of 256 candidates, comprising 201 ex-servicemen and 55 Veer Naris/dependents, seized the opportunity as 18 MNCs and private firms conducted interviews at the fair. The event was graced by major general Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra sub area, spoke in the presence of deputy GOC, TASA brigadier Somashanker, and colonel BG Budhori, director AWPO (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana).

A total of 199 candidates, encompassing 144 ex-servicemen and all 55 dependents/Veer Naris, were shortlisted for final selections by various companies.
