VIT-AP organises blood donation camp

VIJAYAWADA: VIT-AP University organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Government General Hospital (GGH) Guntur, coinciding with the 85th birth anniversary of VIT founder and chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan.
VIT-AP University faculty, staff and 483 students donated blood, which would make a significant difference to the lives of those in need.

Speaking on the occasion GGH superintendent Dr. Y. Kiran Kumar emphasised that blood donation is a selfless act that makes a positive impact on the community. He expressed his gratitude to students and staff of VIT-AP for being proactive in organising the blood donation camp.

VIT-AP University vice chancellor Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy stressed on the importance of blood donation, saying it could save the lives of many poor patients at GGH, Guntur.

Marking the birth anniversary of the VIT founder chancellor, vice chancellor Dr. Kota Reddy and university registrar Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti distributed bags and geometry boxes to poor students of government schools in Inavolu, Sakhamuru and Velagapudi.
