ANANTAPUR: Kamalapuram MLA P. Ravindranath Reddy performed Bhoomi puja for construction of a railway flyover bridge in the Kamalapuram town of Kadapa district on Friday.
The flyover will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹39 crore to solve traffic problems that occur during crossing of trains due to closure of the manual railway crossing gates.
Ravindranath Reddy said the bridge over the railway tracks will solve one of the major issues of Kamalapuram town soon.
AP government has allocated ₹32 crore towards the flyover project for paying compensation to people whose properties are being acquired for construction of the Kamalapuram flyover.
Government adviser R. Veera Reddy and vice chairman M. Srinivasa Reddy were among those present on the occasion.
