CCTV Analysis from Jeedimetla to Secunderabad Leads to Property Offender Arrests

Hyderabad: After analysing CCTV camera footage, Jeedimetla police arrested Odisha natives Rakesh Behera and Asta Dehury for 11 cases of theft on Thursday. The duo, former hotel employees, targeted cash counters in hotels, police said.

Police said after selecting their target, Dehury would enter the hotel as a customer, study the premises and inform Behera, who would be dressed as a vagabond. Once the hotel closes and the staff start cleaning the premises, Behera would enter the hotel from the rear door, loot the cash counter and leave. He would quickly discard the rags.
