Kochi/Kottayam: SFI registered an impressive victory in the college union elections held under MG University on Thursday. The student organisation romped home in over two dozen important colleges while KSU was able to wrest control of 11 college unions in Ernakulam district. In Kottayam district, the SFI bagged the 30 College unions, including in CMS College, Kottayam, Baselios College, Kottayam and Govt College, Nattakom.
The main colleges wrested by SFI included Maharaja’s College, Law College, Nirmala College Muvattupuzha, RLV and Sanskrit College, Tripunithura, Bharth Matha College Thrikkakara, MA College Kothamangalam, Sree Sankara College, Kalady and SNM College Maliankara. It also wrested control of three polytechnics in the district. The colleges bagged by KSU included Aluva UC College, St Thomas College Airapuram, St George College Vazhakulam, and Edakochi Aquinas College.
