Hyderabad: 3 Special teams formed to nab chain-snatchers
Hyderabad: In two separate incidents, two bike-borne miscreants snatched gold chains of two women in Amberpet police station limits on Thursday .
In the first incident, a woman was walking on a pavement in Malkajgiri on Wednesday night when a man on bike snatched her gold chain weighing two tolas and fled. The police who analysed the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity has found that the number plate of the bike was folded at a corner to avoid identification.
In the second incident, the gold chain of a 32-year-old woman, who was returning from school after handing over the lunch box to her children on Thursday afternoon, was snatched. Amberpet police has booked a case and formed special teams to nab the accused.
Amberpet inspector B. Mohan Kumar said, “While she was returning from the school, a person on a bike with his masked snatched her gold chain and escaped after pushing her down.” The victim’s complaint said the chain weighed four tolas, police said.
Amberpet police has booked a case and launched a manhunt for the culprit. Three special teams have been formed to nab the miscreants.
