Hyderabad: 3 killed as car rams lorry parked on NH

The police said the lorry was parked on the road without any indications and that resulted in the accident.

Hyderabad: Three persons were killed and three survived with injuries when their car rammed into a stationary lorry at Satamrai under RGI Airport police station limits.

According to the RGI Airport police M.Anil Ku-mar, 22, of Kali Mandir, Bandlaguda, P. Srikanth, 20, a graduation student from Tondupally. K Harish Goud, 24, a private employee from Siddanthi, and their friends Prash-anth, Sai and Charan, were travelling in a car belonging to Prashanth to Hyderabad on Wednesday night to meet a friend.

At about midnight, the car hit the lorry at high speed. Passersby immediately called the police who rushed to the spot.

“Anil and Srikanth died on the spot, while the others were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where Harish succumbed. The other three persons are stated to be out of danger,” said RGIA inspector Y Rama Krishna.

Responding to a query, the inspector said the passengers were inebriated but it was not clear who was driving the car.
