Hyderabad: State home minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the police were doing a great job in maintaining peace and security and was therefore ranked at No. 1 in the country.
He was speaking at a police gathering organised as part of the Telangana state formation celebrations at the Rachakonda commissionerate office premises in Medipally.
State chief secretary A. Shanthi Kumari who participated in the celebrations said it was a milestone in the history of the state.
Rachakonda police commissioner D.S. Chauhan said crime was under control due to the good work of the police in the commissionerate which has global corporate and IT companies. He said police was taking strict action against anti-social elements and real estate mafia.
