Solve peoples problems on priority: Botsa

VISAKHAPATNAM: Minister for Education Botsa Satyanarayana asked officials to respond immediately to the problems raised by the people on various issues.
At a review meeting with the officials of various departments in Vizianagaram on Monday, the minister said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was very particular about resolving problems faced by people for which a programme was being launched from Tuesday titled ‘Jaganannaku Chebudam.’

The minister said the officials should be alert about the programme and resolve problems in their respective districts. The complaints would be monitored by the Chief Minister’s Office.

He said complaints against the Sachivalam staff were being lodged by the people and they should be addressed immediately by counselling them since many of them might have joined their jobs recently. The minister also suggested the officials respond to calls by aggrieved people as in many cases they may not be able to come to the offices to submit their petitions.

The special officer for north Andhra and the principal secretary of the marketing department asked the officials to audit the complaints and make an assessment on which sector most of the complaints were being received. A preliminary review can be had with the lower level officials to find a quick solution to the problems, he suggested.

The minister also discussed the cyclone preparedness and losses to the crops. Regarding crop loss, the minister said as per the reports from the horticulture department and agriculture not much loss was incurred due to the pre-monsoon rains.
