Special sop for teachers of recognised private educational institutions in Telangana

KCR said the sop would be implemented till schools are reopened

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday announced that the government would provide Rs 2,000 financial assistance and 25 kg rice free through ration shops to teachers and staff working in recognised private educational institutions till the schools are reopened.

The decision was taken to help private school teachers and employees who are facing problems due to the shutting down of the educational institutions during the pandemic.

The teachers and staff had complained that they were not getting salaries due to shutdown of educational institutions since March last, and again from March this year after reopening for about a month.

The teachers and staff should apply to the respective district collectors by giving their bank account details and other relevant information.

The CM has instructed ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar amd government chief adviser Rajiv Sharma to hold a videoconference on Friday to finalise the modalities for the scheme.

The CM said that this decision was taken on a humanitarian consideration and it would help 1.5 lakh teachers and staff working in the recognised private educational institutions.
