Nodal team formed by police to ensure safety of guest workers

Chennai: The Head of the Police Force and DGP, C Sylendra Babu, formed a ‘Nodal Team’ of police officers to coordinate with the other States and agencies on issues pertaining to the rumours on the safety and security of migrant workers on Tuesday.

The team comprises of Avinash Kumar,, IGP, Administration (94421-62456), Abhishek Dixit, DIG, Headquarters.(89396 -77577), Harsh Singh,DCP, Traffic (Chennai North) (94981-49999), Adarsh Pachera,SP (IPREC) (88262-49399) and D.Shanmuga Priya, SP (NRI Cell) (94431-22666).

An official press release said the team would liaise with the agencies from other States with regard to the false propaganda and rumours on the safety and security of migrant workers in Tamilnadu and furnish the information sought by them.
