Police dog squad helps find ring of former MLA

Hyderabad: BJP leader N.V.S.S. Prabhakar was a much happier and relieved person on Wednesday when the navaratna gold ring that he had lost in his farmhouse at Keesara on Tuesday was found in a search operation carried out by a police dog.

The dog squad, which was pressed into service, located the precious ring and
the police personnel using metal detectors traced it and handed it over to
the former legislator.

According to sources, Prabhakar went to his farmhouse on Tuesday to feed the
cows as his farm hand was hospitalised.

Apparently, while cutting the grass, Prabhakar lost his finger ring. He
brought the issue to the notice of Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M.
Bhagawat and sought the help of police. A police dog squad and metal
detectors were immediately pressed into service to search the grass fields
in the farmhouse.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Prabhakar said that the gold ring was
auspicious for him.

“A peetadhipathi presented the navaratna ring after performing pujas for 40
days in his ashram two decades ago,” he recalled.

“I was a bit tense after the ring seemed lost. I am thankful to the police
personnel, who reacted quickly”, he said.
