Hyderabad: TV channel employee ends life after post on FB
Hyderabad: A 32-year-old TV channel employee ended his life hours after hinting about suicide on Facebook.
R. Rajesh Chowdary, a desk editor of Zee TV Telugu, wrote on his FB wall that he missed everybody and was sorry. In another post he hinted that he was about to die. Rajesh also left a suicide note saying how depressed he was about his lonely life, before hanging himself from the ceiling at his flat in Motinagar.
After the early death of his mother and brother during his childhood he had not been happy about life. His suicide note read, “My life has been incredibly difficult growing up without my mother. I felt lonely. I always had a wish to go to the world my mother went. This is my own decision.”
Hours before he hanged himself he posted two things on his Facebook wall, a one line status update and an anonymous quote.
“Miss you all, I am sorry,” the status update said. “When I was born, I was not born alone. I was born along with my death,” the quote said.
His friends reacted to the posts asking him what happened and whether he was fine. His friends told the police that they tried to check on him, but it was too late.
Rajesh's friends and neighbours alerted the police, but by the time cops reached and broke into the room, he was dead. According to his friends, Rajesh had been living alone in Hyderabad while working at the media organisation.
“His father lives alone in his village Janakipuram in Khammam. He often visits his village but does not stay there long,” said one of his friends. He added that Rajesh was often sad due to his loneliness.
“He had not got married and never told us if he planned to get married,” said his friend. Sanathnagar police handed over his body to his father after autopsy.
