ASIFABAD: In a first of its kind incident, residents of Marlavai adivasi gudem in Jainoor mandal didnot allow seven Lambada teachers, including three CRTs, to attend their duties at Tribal Ashram School for boys on Tuesday.
The villagers allegedly asked Lambada teachers not to come to the school as they have been neglecting duties for long time.
The adivasis alleged that Lambada teachers are suppressing their children at the budding stage by discouraging them so that they will not go for higher studies and will not become competitors in employment.
The villagers said these Lambada teachers had never taken their duties seriously. The Lambada teachers lodged a complaint with the Jainoor police against the villagers and adivasi teachers on the instruction of Krishna Naik, tribal development officer.
