Karnataka: At 10, Aditya is Dasara's airman

He was among the seven pilots who operated nine aircraft at the show on Friday.

Mysuru: Ten-year-old Aditya who has bagged the first prize in the operation of radio controlled aircrafts at the national level, stunned the audience at the Dasara aero modelling show by becoming the youngest pilot to operate radio controlled aircraft at Bannimantap grounds here on Friday.

He was among the seven pilots who operated nine aircraft at the show on Friday. Aditya who owns over 40 such aircraft, operated three air craft including Wizard, Scanner and Rofter e-707.

Inspired by his father Abhay Pawar a techie who works at Infosys and operates radio controlled aircraft as a hobby, Adithya started operating them when he was just seven-years-old.

A resident of Yelahanka in Bengaluru, he is also inspired by the air show organised by the Indian Air Force at Yelahanka, a biennial event. A student of Delhi Public School in Bengaluru, Aditya aims at becoming a pilot.

The air show was organised by Dasara Executive Committee, along with Mysore flying association. Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha participated in the show along with his daughter. Over 300 parents from different parts of the city brought their children along to witness the event.
