AP minister explains about steps for road safety, prevention of road accidents

VIJAYAWADA: AP minister for industries and infrastructure Gudivada Amarnath explained the measures being taken up to ensure road safety and prevent road accidents to Union minister for roads, transport and highways Nitin Gadkari while attending the national conference ‘Manthan-Ideas to Action’ being held in Bengaluru.

The AP minister, along with the special chief secretary, industries and commerce Karikal Valaven, attended the conference on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari underlined the importance of the usage of scientific knowledge to prevent road accidents and ensure road safety and felt the need to keep the engineers with the requisite knowledge to deal with them ready.

He said that when they work with cooperation, coordination and communication, they could do wonders to realise their goals. He called for the promotion of the usage of vehicles built with indigenous technology and also laid stress to bring down the usage of petrol and promote the usage of vehicles which run with green hydrogen or ethanol or power. He has asked all state governments to take special interest in these issues in the country.
