30 per cent minority quota seats vacant in Kerala
Kochi: After the close of the first allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in self-financing medical colleges in the state on Tuesday midnight, the 30 percent minority quota seats out of the 50 percent government quota remain vacant with not all minority colleges requesting to make the allotment to these seats.
The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) on Wednesday notified the allotment process for five minority medical colleges and 12 dental colleges and invited applications for the admission, with the colleges completing the request in a day.
The deadline for applying for the candidates with caste/community certificate is 5 pm on September 10. Details are available on http://cee-kerala.org/
The MBBS colleges in the list are Al Azhar Medical College, Thodupuzha, Idukki; Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences, Meeyannoor P O, Kollam. MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram; Travancore Medical College Hospital, Kollam and Dr Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College, Karakonam, Thiruvananthapuram.
The dental colleges are Al-Azhar, Thodupuzha; Annoor, Puthuppady, Muvattupuzha; Century International, Kasargod; Educare Institute, Malappuram; Indira Gandhi Institute, Kothamangalam; Kannur DC, Kannur; MES, Perinthalmanna; Malabar DC, Edappal; PSM College, Thrissur; Royal DC Palakkad; Mar Baselios DC Kothamangalam and St Gregorious DC Kothamangalam.
