Hyderabad: Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav reviewed the works at the Balkampet Yellamma Temple for the upcoming ‘Yellamma Ammavur Kalyanam', scheduled for June 20.
The minister instructed the concerned authorities to make necessary arrangements as thousands of devotees are set to attend the event not just from Hyderabad but from other states as well. During the meeting, it was pointed out that nearly eight lakh devotees witnessed the ‘Kalyanam’ last year. As a result, CCTV cameras will be installed during the ‘Kalyanam’ to avoid crowding.
“After the new Telangana state was formed, the government has facilitated the conduct of all festivals, providing grants to celebrate festivals on a grand scale,” the minister said after the meeting.
