HYDERABAD: A youth who was reportedly in an inebriated condition rammed his two-wheeler into a Rakshak vehicle belonging to the Hayathnagar police station.
Hayathnagar police inspector H. Venkateshwarlu said the youth apologised and got the vehicle repaired at his expense.
Surprisingly, police did not register a case against the youth after they allegedly received a call from a local representative.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday night when a Rakshak vehicle (TS 09PA 3688) was parked at a Mother Dairy kiosk in Hayathnagar.
The two-wheeler rammed into the Rakshak vehicle’s bumper.
The youth was caught by the police and subjected to a breathalyser test which showed 169 BAC (blood alcohol content) reading, police said.
The youth, said to be a supporter of a local representative, was on his way from Pedda Amberpet to Hayathnagar, and going at a high speed on his two-wheeler. He escaped with minor injuries. His vehicle and the police vehicle got damaged in the accident.
