Walking calender' Prasanth in India Book of Records

With an IQ level of 55% as well as visual and hearing impairment, he is battling many issues.

Thiruvananthapuram: India Book of Records on Tuesday got an entry from Kerala – Prasanth C., who is a walking calendar. He can tell you what day it was, if you would tell him a random date between the two years between Jan 1, 0001, to Jan 1, 10,000.

The judge who came down to see if he could actually do it had asked him ten dates. That was a cakewalk for the young man with a congenital heart disorder. The event at SP Grand Days was inaugurated by senior CPM leader V. S. Achuthanandan. Mr Prasanth has been featured in many newspapers, but this would be his first record.

“He was very excited and thanked everyone who had come to encourage him. Now we will apply for other records like Asia and Limca Book of Records. Our aim is to get into Guinness Book of World Records,” says Priyanka C., his sister.

He is 18 now and has various neuro and cardiology problems. With an IQ level of 55% as well as visual and hearing impairment, he is battling many issues. He used to go regularly to Rotary Institute for Children in Need of Special Care, Vazhuthacaud. Now that he has crossed 18 years, his family is in search of an institution which will keep him engaged.
