M Anil Kumar tables LDF draft manifesto
KOCHI: CPM candidate for Ernakulam Adv. M Anil Kumar has started gathering public opinion to finalize the party’s manifesto in the constituency for the upcoming Assembly polls. Anil is meeting people from different walks of life. He was at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium ground to meet morning walkers and at Changampuzha Park where senior persons retired from prominent posts have evening meetings.
“I will be meeting people from all walks of life and have been getting encouraging and creative suggestions. The campaign starts with planting of trees and different topics are being focussed on each day. Our objective is to prepare a comprehensive manifesto after consulting people on 40 different topics during the 40 days of campaigning. Use of flex boards and plastic publicity materials will be avoided to the maximum extent possible to make it an environment- friendly campaign,” said Anil Kumar.
The party will be drawing suggestions from the public in all sectors including environment conservation, waste management, drinking water, infrastructure development, and other civic issues.
“My objective is to know the people’s pulse on the development agenda of the city. I have discussed the plan with the party district leadership which gave all support for the initiative,” he added. CPM politburo member M.A Baby will inaugurate the LDF convention at Judges Avenue on Saturday.
